Legal experts will be converging on the University of Sydney this week to discuss language, law and social justice as part in as examination of restorative justice and legal-judicial practice in Australia.

The Sydney Law School will play host to the conference, 'Towards Restorative Justice: The Challenges, Promises & Processes of a New Paradigm', which hopes to examine new ways of achieving justice while addressing issues of reconciliation, disadvantage and historical experience of the law.

Keynote speakers will include Federal Court Justice Peter Gray, University of Sydney academics Paul Dwyer and Julie Stubbs, the University of New England's Diana Eades, ANU & ARC Federation Fellow John Braithwaite, and Frances Rock, from the School of English Communication and Philosophy at Cardiff University.
