Australia's first Master of Global Law degree will be launched by the University of Sydney in 2010.
The Master's will be open to law and non-law graduates and consists of eight units, expected to take two to three years to complete part-time.
The University of NSW (UNSW) is also offering a new graduate diploma in applied intellectual property and a Master of Revenue Administration, which will all begin in 2010.
A Master of Dispute Resolution and a dispute resolution specialisation within the UNSW Master of Laws program is also set to start in 2010.
Program co-ordinator at UNSW Rosemary Howell said courts, governments and the community continue to press for more effective means of resolving disputes, reported The Australian Financial Review.
"Professionals of all disciplines need to build repertoire, engage in rigorous debate and contribute to the development of tools and skills. Our program is relevant to anyone keen to enhance their contribution to alternative dispute resolution's expansion into all areas of our lives," she said.
