Adelaide researchers commit to collaboration with courts
The University of Adelaide and the Chief Justice of South Australia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate closely on research projects.

The MoU, signed by Chief Justice Chris Kourakis (pictured) and lecturer David Caruso, is the first of its kind in South Australia.
“Under this agreement, the Courts Administrative Authority and the university can work together on particular research projects designed to reform the administration of justice,” said Chief Justice Kourakis.
The research will focus on the modernisation of court hearings, the use of technology and the structure of courts.
“Much of our work will involve identifying and assessing what is considered to be best practice,” said Mr Caruso.
“This may result in a review and, potentially, new approaches and strategy.”
