Macpherson+Kelley Lawyers has merged with boutique Sydney-based firm Lane & Lane Lawyers and hired one of the firm's managing partners as a principal.

Anthony Robertsjoins M + K's Sydney office as a principal in the property services group along with former Lane & Lane senior consultants Bruce Yahl and James Linton, one paralegal and two legal secretaries.

Yahl joins the commercial team as special counsel and Linton has been appointed special counsel in the property services group.

The merger takes M+K to 55 principals and over 135 lawyers nationally, said Damian Paul, national managing director of the firm.

Lane & Lane Lawyers was founded in 1898 and serviced clients in the areas of property, corporate and commercial disputes, wills, probate, estate planning and administration practice.
