In yet another move to extend its reach across the country, Slater & Gordon has acquired family law firm Rod Powe Lawyers in Maitland, New South Wales.
Slater & Gordon's managing director Andrew Grech said bringing in such a specialised firm would mean clients could expect greater dedication to issues such as divorce, property claims, child support, parenting orders and other sensitive family law issues.
Powe has extensive legal experience in Tasmania and NSW as both a lawyer and an academic at several universities across Australia. He currently practices as an accredited specialist solicitor and advocate in the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Magistrates Court as well as acting as an arbitrator and a mediator in family law matters.
