Michael McGarvie has been appointed Victoria's Legal Services Board chief executive and the state's second Legal Services Commissioner.

 
 

McGarvie has worked as CEO of the Supreme Court and as acting Legal Services Commissioner. The Law Institute of Victoria's president, Michael Brett Young, said McGarvie's existing relationships and contacts will serve Victoria well as the profession moves towards national reform.
