Herbert Geer has snapped up a superannuation law specialist from Deacons, with Mark Abramovich joining the firm as a partner.

Abramovich has more than 18 years' experience in superannunation, working with top industry funds, major corporate funds and state government funds.

He will be joined by special counsel Marius Rajanayagam as a special counsel later in November. Rajanayagam acts for large superannuation funds in all areas of superannuation and financial services, and successfully argued in the High Court of Australia in the landmark case of Cook v Benson (2003) 214 CLR 370.
