Smartsheet has promoted Nick Dunn to an expanded role as general counsel, as well as added Pratima Arora as chief product officer.

Dunn has more than 17 years of legal experience, including private practice and corporate counsel roles. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s legal, privacy, and risk functions, including corporate governance initiatives, including operational and strategic support to its board of directors.

He is an eight-year veteran of Smartsheet and has guided Smartsheet’s commercial, product, litigation, and corporate acquisition efforts.

“I am honoured to assume an expanded role as general counsel at Smartsheet,” Dunn said.

“I look forward to working alongside Smartsheet’s executives and leading Smartsheet’s best-in-class legal and risk management teams to achieve our strategic priorities and drive the business forward.”

Most recently the chief product and technology officer at Chainalysis, Arora has previously held senior leadership roles at Atlassian and Salesforce. In her newly created position as chief product officer, she will drive growth through product innovation, focusing on product management, product marketing, user experience, pricing and packaging, and digital and product partnerships.

“This is an exciting time for Smartsheet, its customers and partners, and I’m thrilled to join at this pivotal moment in the company’s journey,” Arora said.

“Smartsheet’s focus on helping businesses achieve rapid outcomes through AI-powered collaborative work management technology is uniquely positioned to help customers drive meaningful impact and realise quick ROI from their technology investments. Having worked in the collaborative work management space, I have always admired Smartsheet’s products and people. I look forward to joining this exceptional team.”

Speaking about the new appointments, Smartsheet CEO Mark Mader said the new leaders would be pivotal for ongoing growth.

“The strength of a company lies in the quality of its people, and at Smartsheet, we are attracting the industry’s best to innovate for our customers and drive the next phase of growth,” he said.

“Pratima and Nick’s experience guiding high-performing teams and creating business momentum and value will be an asset to the company today and in the future. I look forward to the positive impact they will have for our customers and partners.”
