Regulatory specialist Dr Teresa Baker, of Clayton Utz, has been appointed to the New South Wales division of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT).
Ruddock noted that the new AAT members were all “well-respected members of their chosen professions”.
Baker joined the product liability group at Clayton Utz in June 2006 to provide in-house scientific expertise to the pharmaceutical and medical devices practice. She has extensive experience in pharmaceutical regulatory affairs in Australia and New Zealand, both at senior management level and in a consultancy capacity.
Baker, whose appointment became effective in late August, is also the founder and director of Pharmedica Consulting Pty Ltd, which specialises in advice on pharmaceutical regulation.
The AAT, which was established in 1976, provides independent review of a wide range of administrative decisions made by the Federal Government and certain non-government bodies.
