Former Optus GC joins alternative legal services provider

The former general counsel of Optus has joined Lawyers on Demand, as it looks to boost its newly-launched Designed Solutions offering.

Jenny Rees, who served as the general counsel of Optus for 16 years, has joined alternative legal services provider Lawyers on Demand as the lead consultant for the Designed Solutions team.

She said she is “thrilled” at the opportunity to join LOD.

“Being passionate about improving the way in which legal services are delivered, I am very excited at the opportunity to help drive LOD’s growth in this area,” she said.

“I have worked with LOD for a number of years and look forward to being a part of their HQ team.”

LOD Australia managing director Paul Cowling added this the provider is in a “really exciting phase” of its growth and the appointment of Ms Rees was demonstrative of its commitment to legal services market by way of investment in new solutions.

“We are very excited to have Jenny Rees join us. She brings with her an incredible depth of knowledge and experience which will be invaluable to our clients,” he said.

“Having worked with Jenny as a client for a number of years, we are absolutely delighted to now have her join our team.”
