Arcadis announced earlier this week that it has appointed Belinda Ritchie (pictured) as general counsel and company secretary of its Australia Pacific arm. She will join the Australia Pacific regional executive team and the Arcadis international legal committee.

Ms Ritchie has been with Arcadis for more than three years as a regional legal counsel and is experienced in construction law and project management issues.

“I’m truly excited to lead the legal team of such a dynamic and expanding company,” Ms Ritchie said.

“Arcadis is in the business of Australia’s future cities and has seen strong growth in recent years, so it’s a unique opportunity to work with city-changing projects that will transform the nation.”

Greg Steele, CEO of Arcadis Australia Pacific, said, “Since joining Arcadis three years ago, Belinda has constantly impressed with her legal and negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and ability to connect with both our clients and business leaders.”

Ms Ritchie is also an avid adventurer. She won the Australian Geographic Society’s Young Adventurer of the Year award in 2014 for her 5,330-kilometre horseback journey along the Bicentennial National Trail.
