IP expert promoted to partner
Salvos Legal has announced that a lawyer will be promoted from its ranks to the firm partnership.

Guy Betar (pictured) is the newest partner at Salvos Legal. The intellectual property law expert, who also has experience in privacy and technology law, joined the group in 2015 as special counsel. He came onboard to establish a new IP/IT legal services group for Salvos Legal in Sydney.
“On behalf of our board and partners, I am delighted to welcome Guy as our newest partner,” Mr Geary said.
“Guy has advised major clients on complex legal issues and he continues to share his knowledge to grow and develop the skills of our team members, as well as contribute to industry publications,” he said.
Mr Betar is a former Sparke Helmore partner and previously worked in-house for global IT company TIBCO.
