Deborah Im is the Head of Legal, Asia Pacific, at OpenAI. Prior to OpenAI, she was the Chief Legal Officer at Coda, a commerce platform that enables providers of digital goods to distribute and monetize globally. From 2020-2022, Deborah served as Stripe's first General Counsel for Asia Pacific, obtaining regulatory approvals and building partnerships for Stripe to expand into India, Indonesia, Korea and Thailand. From 2014-2020, Deborah served as Deputy Head of Legal, APAC at Meta, where she joined as one of its first lawyers in the region and helped establish Meta's local presence in countries across Asia and navigated novel legal and regulatory matters.
In addition to her legal experience, Deborah founded Love at First Bite Cupcakery in Berkeley, California, and was the co-founder and COO of Multiplier Holdings, a company focused on building AI-native professional services. She obtained her JD degree from NYU School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UC Berkeley.
Stephanie is a Senior Corporate Counsel at Amazon Australia. With rich experience in the retail and FMCG sector, she was previously at Woolworths and in private practice at Baker McKenzie. Stephanie holds a Masters of Law from the University of Pennsylvania, where she placed first in her class. She is a former Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 winner, an ACC Young Lawyer Achiever of the Year finalist and a Corporate Counsel FMCG Lawyer of the Year finalist. Her team is currently nominated for In-House Team of the Year at the upcoming Australian Law Awards.
Andrew De Celis is a seasoned legal executive with over 20 years of experience in both private practice and in-house roles. Currently, he serves as General Counsel for Product & Propositions at Telstra, where he leads a team that advises on a wide range of product, contract, consumer, competition and regulatory issues. He is also the Executive co-sponsor for the AI and technology transformation program of Telstra’s Corporate Affairs, Risk and Legal function. Andrew's expertise lies in navigating organisations through complex commercial and regulatory environments and positioning them to anticipate and lead through change. In his role at Telstra, Andrew relishes the challenge of enabling the company to be future-focused and bold and ambitious in its decision making, at a time when organisations with large customer and supplier bases are under intense scrutiny from customers, the community, regulators and government.
Paul is responsible for Lawyers On Demand’s Australia business, together with working closely day-to-day with LOD clients and lawyers across all service lines. Paul has worked both within and alongside the legal profession throughout his career. Prior to joining LOD, Paul practiced as a commercial disputes lawyer in both London and Hong Kong, managed the legal teams of two global recruitment organisations and headed up an Australian legal project management business.
Mitchell is a Lawyer and Data Scientist, with a passion for creating cutting-edge AI tools for lawyers. He's delivered complex data-driven projects for leading law firms, legaltech companies and in-house legal teams that continue to save lawyers hundreds of hours each year. He’s worked in Legal Operations with BHP and as a Legal Technology Analyst for Herbert Smith Freehills and Gilbert & Tobin. He now leads the Data Science team within Consilio’s R&D Department, making and breaking Large Language Models that specialise in legal problem-solving.
Mitchell is passionate about open-source AI and teaching lawyers to safely harness the power of LLMs. He's delivered educational sessions for thousands of lawyers, including at Legal Tech Fest and Corporate Counsel Summit conferences in 2025.
Joanne is the Strategy and Legal Operations Manager at LegalVision, where she works closely with LegalVision's management teams to optimise service delivery and manage a range of strategic and transformation projects. Joanne was a lawyer at a national law firm and was a Senior Lawyer in LegalVision's Commercial and Regulatory team, before spending several years as a Management Consultant at a Big Four consulting firm. Since returning to LegalVision, Joanne has supported a wide range of operational practice management functions, including product management and data analysis, as well as led strategic projects such as AI transformation activities.
Katy Fixter, LexisNexis Managing Director, Asia & Pacific brings extensive experience in legal technology and business solutions to her role as Managing Director Asia & Pacific. Katy's expertise includes driving strategy, market expansion, and product development on a global scale. Katy previously held leadership positions at LexisNexis UK, including Vice President and General Manager of global Nexis Solutions, and Head of Practical Guidance in the Property, Construction and Environment practice areas.
Prior to joining LexisNexis, Katy spent 11 years as a practicing solicitor in the UK, which allows her to understand the challenges and opportunities in the legal field, and apply her passion for partnering with customers to innovate and transform the practice of law.
Clementine is the Australia General Manager for Luminance, where she is responsible for securing new business opportunities and leading the company’s continued expansion across Australia and APAC. Clementine has a wealth of experience in the AI sector, having previously worked as the Partnership Development Lead at the Alan Turing Institute and as Head of Account Management at Luminance for over two years, where she oversaw the implementation of technology for Luminance’s global customer base. Clementine has received numerous industry accolades, including winning a prestigious Women World Award and being shortlisted for ‘Rising Star of the Year’ at the UK IT Industry Awards. Clementine is qualified as a Solicitor in Queensland, Australia.
Kristyn Verrall is General Counsel & Group Company Secretary at Beyond Bank Australia, with more than 25 years’ experience advising on complex commercial and legal issues and over 15 years in the financial services industry. Before joining Beyond Bank, Kristyn was General Counsel & Company Secretary at Statewide Super, where she played a key role in the fund’s successful merger with Hostplus in 2022 and went on to serve as General Counsel of the merged organisation. Kristyn began her career as an accountant before moving into law, becoming a Senior Associate at Minter Ellison.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Commerce, Bachelor of Laws (Honours), Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, and a Graduate Diploma in Banking and Financial Law, and is based in Adelaide, South Australia.
Emily Sunman is Chief Legal & Risk Officer at Aurecon, an Asia Pacific design, engineering, and advisory company which operates across 11 countries. She leads Aurecon’s legal, governance, sustainability, risk and quality functions and is the Group Company Secretary. With over 25 years’ experience working in Australia, the UK and across Asia, Emily is a recognised corporate leader in legal, governance, and risk. Emily is a Director of Consult Australia, a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, and a member of the AICD, Chief Executive Women (CEW), and Association of Corporate Counsel Australia GC100.
