KWM and Freehills advise on sale of transport group
King & Wood Mallesons and Freehills have acted on the sale of the International Energy Services group to McAleese Transport Group.

Deal significance: The IES group comprises Cootes Transport, a specialised fuel transport business; Liquip, a manufacturer of fuel-handling related equipment; and IES Resources, specialising in transport logistics and services to the mining resources sector. The sale of IES marks a milestone for CHAMP Private Equity as it is the last investment in CHAMP Fund 1, which was the inaugural private equity buyout fund set up by CHAMP Private Equity in 2000.
