Allens Arthur Robinson has acted for the real estate arm of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, GIC Real Estate (GIC), on the purchase of a portfolio of industrial properties from the Salta Property Group.

Allens pulled a team together from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth to complete the transaction including lead partner Nicholas Cowie, lead lawyer Sonya Oberekar, senior associates Teresa Lusi, Julie Soon, Michelle Davies, Jacqui Roper and Matti Bechler.

The team advised on all stages of the due diligence, sale contract negotiations and Foreign Investment Review Board approval.

"We were very pleased to be able to assist GIC in its first direct investment in Australian industrial property and on a transaction which is one of the most significant industrial transactions in Australia this year," said Cowie.

Logie-Smith Lanyon advised the Salta Property Group.
