Blake Dawson has announced it is the legal adviser to the Federal Government in connection with the Implementation Study into the National Broadband Network (NBN), which was released last week.

 
 

Partners Bruce Macdonald, Tim Brookes and Bill Koeck will continue to assist NBN Co implement government policy, including advising on the proposed acquisition of Telstra infrastructure.

The Blake Dawson team, led by Bill Koeck, has worked closely with the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, and lead advisors on the Implementation Study, McKinsey & Company and KPMG, as well as NBN Co Limited.

Mr Koeck said of the experience: "It has been a great privilege for the Blake Dawson team to have worked with the Department's General Counsel, McKinsey & Company, KPMG, NBN Co and government executives who've been involved in this important project."

"We're looking forward to assisting with the implementation of the government's policy."
