Sydney Law School graduate Andreas Heger has been awarded the 2010 Rhodes Australia-At-Large Scholarship, making him the school's 11th Rhodes Scholar in the last decade.
In addition, Heger has been heavily involved in adaptive rowing, holding a scholarship with the ACT Academy of Sport during 2008-09, and he also trains in athletics.
Heger, who is legally blind, hopes to continue with his sport at Oxford and represent Australia in the 2012 London Paralympic Games.
At Oxford, Heger will enroll in a Bachelor of Civil Laws and a Masters in Philosophy in law, focusing on aspects of anti-discrimination law and positive obligations.
