After spending eight years at Clyde & Co as a partner, Alena Titterton has commenced as a partner in Sydney at JWS.

She has over 20 years of experience, including 11 years at Norton Rose Fulbright prior to Clyde & Co, and provides a dedicated 24/7 incident response service for clients dealing with fatalities and serious incidents across Australia.

Titterton has also broadly advised on security and anti-terrorism, biosecurity, critical infrastructure security, psychosocial risk, bullying and harassment, product safety, maritime safety, aviation safety, rail safety, construction safety, mine safety, food safety, road safety and chain of responsibility.

“Boards and C-suite face an ever-changing regulatory and risk landscape when it comes to health and safety issues which require expert advice to navigate. I am excited to join JWS, a firm with a strong reputation for supporting boards and executives on complex regulatory risk and litigation,” she said.

“I look forward to helping our clients foster positive organisational cultures through safety leadership.”

Commenting on the new appointment, JWS managing partner Jeremy Davis said: “I’m delighted that Alena has joined the firm. With Alena’s appointment, JWS deepens its national health and safety capability. Alena has developed a unique practice in the market supported by innovative technology-enabled safety compliance solutions and substantial experience advising boards and executives on catastrophic incidents and risk management.”
