Real estate partner joins Allens from Clayton Utz
Global law firm Allens has appointed a partner from BigLaw rival Clayton Utz, who is joining its real estate practice.
Carrie Rogers has joined Allens, bringing – the global firm said in a statement – over 15 years of experience in complex property development, structuring, and leasing, including indirect property transactions, acquisitions, disposals, and leasebacks.
She will be based in the firm’s Sydney office and will serve as part of its real estate and development team.
Prior to joining Allens, Rogers served at Clayton Utz for more than 18 years across two stints, including over eight years as a partner. She has also worked as a senior property lawyer at Woolworths Limited.
The news follows Allens’ appointment of Chelsey Drake as its new chair in November of last year, as well as its promotion of 77 lawyers to more senior roles in June.
Speaking about the appointment, Allens partner and real estate and development lead Michael Graves said: “Carrie’s collaborative approach and ability to deliver tailored, practical solutions make her an outstanding addition to our team.
“We are delighted to welcome her to Allens and look forward to the valuable contributions she will bring to our clients and practice.”
