Simon Kuestenmacher

Simon Kuestenmacher - Director and Co-founder, The Demographics Group. Simon will present his session, ‘Global Demographics Impacting the Legal Industry’.

Simon presents on demographic and global trends that are shaping Australia today and into the future and his observations are enjoyed by corporate, government and industry audiences alike.

Simon is a columnist for The New Daily newspaper and a regular contributor to The Australian newspaper; and he is a media commentator on demographic and data matters. In his spare time Simon has authored three books on maps and runs what is by now the world’s largest Twitter account dedicated to maps and data. His social media posts reach over 35 million people every month. Simon ranks as one of the world’s top 10 influencers in data.

Steve Vamos

Steve Vamos - Author, Advisor & Former CEO at Xero, Microsoft Australia, Apple Asia Pacific. Steve will present his session ‘Leadership in Times Like No Other & Creating and Enabling Innovation at Work’.

Steve is an author, advisor and Director with over 40 years of experience in the global technology and digital media industries. He has lived and worked in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Asia.

Steve was CEO of ASX-listed tech company Xero from April 2018 to February 2023, where he led the company’s growth and performance with a team of more than 4,500 employees. He has served as a non-executive director of Telstra, Fletcher Building, Medibank Private and David Jones and as a non-executive director and advisor to a range of Australian organisations, from start-ups to large established companies.

Steve was the founder and President of the Society for Knowledge Economics (SKE), a not-for-profit thinktank that operated from 2005 to 2014. SKE aimed to encourage and promote new and better leadership and management practices, enabling innovation, productivity and sustainability.Steve holds a degree in Civil Engineering (with Honours) from the University of New South Wales.

Dr Sandra PeterDr Kai Riemer

Dr Sandra Peter - Director, Sydney Executive Plus & Associate Professor, The University of Sydney. Dr Sanda will present alongside Dr Kai Riemer, Director, Sydney Executive Plus & Professor of Information Technology and Organisation, University of Sydney. They will present ‘AI Beyond the Hype: Transforming Business & Work’.

Dr Sandra Peter and Dr Kai Riemer are Co-Directors of Sydney Executive Plus and professors at the University of Sydney Business School. When they aren’t busy wading through data and dashing through airports, they’re speaking with heads of government and head chefs about leading through disruption, they’re upskilling over a thousand executives across 20+ industries in cutting-edge tech, and they’re sharing their insights on the future of work with adoring audiences in boardrooms, ballrooms, and opera houses around the world.
