Moray & Agnew promotes 17
National law firm Moray & Agnew recently unveiled its promotions for the new year, with 17 lawyers being elevated to more senior roles, including one to the partnership.
Vanessa Parkins (pictured) is the newest partner at Moray & Agnew, having been elevated just before the summer break. She practices in the firm’s government team in Canberra.
She brings, the firm said, 15 years of experience in personal injury litigation and represents several Commonwealth agencies in both general matters and merit review matters.
The addition of Parkins to the partnership follows the appointment of two more partners for the firm: a medical negligence professional in Melbourne and an insurance professional in Perth. Both of whom started their new roles in December.
Elsewhere, the firm has named three new special counsel: Melissa Kincaid, Gary King, and Josh McDiarmid.
It has also promoted the following 13 lawyers to senior associate: Jackson Clarence, Joseph Everdell, Lauren Hancock, Victoria Jamieson, Julian Minter, Joshua Murgatroyd, Ishan Patel, Estelle Sarra, Jesse Thomson, Cherrie Tippett, Emilie van Baalen, Emma Wallace, and Jordan Widjaya.
Moray & Agnew has more than 800 staff, including 100 partners, across its offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Newcastle, Perth, and Cairns.
Speaking about the promotions, the firm’s national managing partner, Geoff Connellan, said: “We are delighted to be able to promote this many of our legal team across so many different practice areas and locations.
“We acknowledge their well-deserved promotions and the hard work they have undertaken for our clients and their continued contribution to our firm.”
