Two lawyers have been promoted to partner at Norton Rose Fulbright: Rohan Sridhar and Vanessa Ward.

Based in Melbourne, Sridhar is a corporate and commercial lawyer and focuses on life sciences transactions, including a broad range of regulatory advice. He has been with the firm for almost 12 years, since starting as a graduate in 2013. His practice focuses on product commercialisation, including access to intellectual property, fundraising, clinical trials, registration, reimbursement, supply and distribution, marketing and promotion, and recalls.

Ward started at NRF in 2015 in the London office before joining the Sydney office in 2022 and is a corporate and M&A lawyer. She has a wealth of experience in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic divestments, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and private equity transactions. She regularly acts for companies, funds, large institutional investors, and government departments.

This news follows the addition of an Australian head of cyber in September, as well as the promotion of 34 senior lawyers in July and the poaching of a tech partner and former co-head of Lander & Rogers’ national digital economy practice in April.

Norton Rose Fulbright’s chief executive partner in Australia, Alison Deitz, said the promotions to partner were well-deserved.

“The appointments of Rohan and Vanessa are recognition of the quality of their experience and proven ability to support clients’ diverse corporate and commercial matters,” she said.

“They have made a strong contribution to our firm’s corporate and commercial teams across a range of sectors, including financial services, technology, transport, energy, infrastructure, resources, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences and healthcare.”
