Moray & Agnew adds new insurance partner in WA
National law firm Moray & Agnew has bolstered its workers’ compensation practice in Western Australia, appointing a new partner who most recently worked at Sparke Helmore.
Bringing with him more than three decades of legal expertise, Moray & Agnew has appointed Garry Nutt as a partner in its West Australian team.
Nutt has extensive experience advising and acting for insurers in a range of matters. He specialises in workers’ compensation, employers’ indemnity, and personal injury claims and advises on the management of litigated and unlitigated claims as well as on strategies for resolution, contribution and recovery.
Perth managing partner Phil Keays said the firm is “thrilled to have Garry on board – he enjoys an outstanding reputation in our industry and is a wonderful addition to our growing practice”.
The news follows the addition of a property partner in Melbourne in August, as well as the firm’s promotion of 26 lawyers, including five to partner, in early July and the addition of a new corporate and commercial partner from rival BigLaw firm Mills Oakley in June.
National managing partner Geoff Connellan said: “The skill sets, experience, and expertise Garry brings complement our very strong workers’ compensation team in Western Australia headed by Daniel Costanzo as well as our national practice.”
