Ashurst nabs CIO from NRF
Global law firm Ashurst has appointed a new chief information officer based in London, who joins from BigLaw rival Norton Rose Fulbright.
Ashurst has added Kevin Harris to its London ranks as chief information officer (CIO).
Joining the firm from Norton Rose Fulbright, Harris has an extensive background in technology strategy, cyber security and technology innovation. During his time at NRF, he served as CIO for Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and his previous roles include IT director at Taylor Wessing, where he led significant innovation initiatives, and senior technology positions at KPMG and Deloitte.
“Ashurst’s clear commitment to innovation and quality aligns perfectly with my own professional values, and I’m excited to work alongside such a talented team,” Harris said.
“I look forward to leveraging my experience to continue to drive forward the firm’s technology transformation and support its mission to outpace change and lead from the front.”
Harris brings more than 20 years of experience in running IT operations to the firm and will report to chief transformation officer Sid Maharaj, who said Harris will be instrumental in shaping the future of Ashurst’s “digital landscape”.
“Kevin’s proven track record in driving digital transformation and his ability to lead high-performing teams will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and enhance our technology capabilities,” Maharaj said.
“His vision and leadership will play a crucial role in advancing our firm’s strategic goals and delivering exceptional value to our clients / ensuring that our service offering operates at the forefront of the market.”
