Mills Oakley adds 3 new partners
National law firm Mills Oakley has grown its partnership to almost 170, appointing partners across three capital cities.
Mills Oakley has swelled its partnership to 169 with the appointment of three new partners: Tamara Heng, Jennie-Lee Schloffer, and Tina Tomaszewski (all pictured).
Heng joins the national firm’s Perth property team from Lavan, bringing a “wealth” of experience in a wide range of property and general commercial transactions and specialisation in the acquisition and disposal of property assets, due diligence, subdivisions, development, development agreements, joint ventures, and complex leasing.
Brisbane-based Schloffer brings more than 14 years of experience as a commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and insolvency lawyer, including “extensive” experience managing litigation across both federal and state (Queensland, Victoria, and NSW) jurisdictions. She has come across from AJ & Co Lawyers.
Tomaszewski will sit in the firm’s government, civil litigation, and disputes practice in Adelaide, having spent over two decades at the South Australia’s Crown Solicitor’s Office. She is, the firm said, “highly” experienced in civil litigation, specialising in medical malpractice, coronial inquests, defamation, and general civil litigation.
The news follows the national firm’s appointment of two partners, from Hamilton Locke and KPMG respectively, as reported in July.
Mills Oakley has offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney and now has a partnership of 169.
Speaking about the trio, Mills Oakley CEO John Nerurker said that the high-calibre appointments reinforced the firm’s commitment to building capabilities in key national markets.
“Mills Oakley is very pleased to welcome Tamara, Jennie-Lee and Tina to the partnership,” he said.
“All three are outstanding legal practitioners in their fields, and we look forward to the many benefits their leadership and expertise will bring to our firm.”
