Adrian Rodrigues has joined MinterEllison from KPMG Law, where he has served for nearly three years as a director and as the big four firm’s national real estate lead. He formerly worked for numerous years in a senior capacity at a large international law firm and has a strong background working within top-tier legal firms in Queensland and Sydney.

He brings, Minters said in a statement, more than a decade of experience in practice as a property lawyer and is “highly experienced” in all facets of property law, with expertise in identifying risks and other relevant issues to optimise the outcome for clients.

Rodrigues has, the firm continued, acted for major national wind/solar farm operators in relation to all aspects of the land access and tenure arrangements for marquee projects and has also advised international operators in portfolio sales of renewable assets, including undertaking significant vendor due diligence inquiries and advising on regulatory aspects and sale documentation.

He joins the firm’s real estate practice group.

The news follows the firm’s promotion of 158 professionals to more senior roles, over 60 per cent of whom were women, in late June, as well as its elevation of nine lawyers to its national partnership in the same month.

Speaking about the appointment, Minters real estate business unit lead and partner Adrian Rich said: “We’re delighted that Adrian has joined us.

“His extensive experience in all aspects of real estate transactions will bolster our multidisciplinary offering.”
