JWS adds special counsel
Independent Australian law firm Johnson Winter Slattery (JWS) has expanded its national real estate team with the appointment of a special counsel in Melbourne.
New special counsel Louise Farinotti has joined JWS after holding an in-house counsel role at Team Global Express and brings more than 15 years of experience in real estate law, both in-house and at national and global law firms, including Holding Redlich and MinterEllison.
“I am excited to be joining JWS and to be part of such a well-regarded firm and real estate team. I am looking forward to working on complex and interesting real estate transactions and being part of a firm that delivers exceptional results for its clients,” Farinotti said.
This news comes after the addition of a TMT partner earlier this month, the firm’s promotion of 13 professionals to more senior roles last month, as well as its hiring of another TMT partner from Bird & Bird in May, adding a special counsel from Baker McKenzie in early April, an environment and planning special counsel from Corrs in the same month, and a special counsel for its energy and resources team in March.
“We are thrilled to welcome Louise. Her extensive experience advising on property acquisitions and divestments and negotiating industrial, retail and commercial leases will be a tremendous asset to our team and will complement the firm’s existing strengths in these areas,” Kwak said.
