DLA Piper has promoted 219 lawyers, across 25 countries, to more senior roles, with 12 of those promotions taking place in four of the global firm’s offices across Australia.

Down Under, the firm has named three new special counsel, and nine new senior associates.

The firm’s new special counsel are Alicia Pull, Simone Bajraszewski, and Jade Nelson.

Its new senior associates are Alexandra Moore, Brittany Reddington, Charmaine Cheung, Chloe Foyster, Edwin Kwok, Jack McCormack, Jess McKenna, Lisa Huynh, and Paul Bonjour.

Elsewhere, the BigLaw firm promoted Rob Henham to senior adviser in its management consulting business, DLA Piper Business Advisory.

The news follows the firm’s appointment of two new partners in Australia in late April.

Speaking about the promotions round, DLA Piper Australian managing partner Amber Matthews said that they are a “major career milestone and recognise the hard work and commitment of each individual”.

“This year, 83 per cent of our senior lawyer promotions are female, demonstrating our strong talent pipeline,” she said.

“I congratulate all the recent promotions and thank them for the exceptional contribution they make to our firm and the positive impact they have on our clients.”
