The promotion of 21 women and six men includes one general counsel, five special counsel, eight senior associates and 13 associates, in addition to the two new partners.

Both located in Sydney, Sarah Butler has been promoted to partner in the technology, media and telecommunications practice, with Megan Cant elevated to partner in the workplace relations and safety practice.

This news comes after the addition of a new WHS partner in April this year, as well as the firm’s appointment of a special counsel from lawyerbank as a new partner in mid-December and the hiring of a special counsel from MinterEllison as a partner in mid-November.

Within the firm’s Brisbane office, David Quinn has been promoted to general counsel in the workplace relations and safety practice.

Tess Kerridge, Natasha Jones, Katharine Huxley, Marsha Klipp and Emily Ng have been promoted to special counsel.

The new senior associates at the firm are Claudia Baldwin, Sam Hayward, Melanie Long, Anthea McGurty, Lachlan Speak, Christabel Teo, Lidia Dusevic and Jean Lukin.

Finally, the following have been promoted to associate: Christopher Watt, Melisa Yildiz, Grace Sinclair, Fiorella Chiavetta, Hannah Haidley, Olivia Lawrence, Bribie Stansfield, Julia Wyatt, Georgia Bailey, Georgia Homan, Kelvin Lee, Kate Milward and Max Pyne.

Holding Redlich national managing partner Troy Lewis said these promotions acknowledge the exceptional contributions and proven track records of the promoted lawyers.

“As one of Australia’s top law firms, distinguished by deep sector knowledge and commitment to understanding our clients’ needs, we take great pride in recognising and rewarding the achievements of our lawyers and future leaders. This cohort of lawyers consistently demonstrate outstanding capability, exceed clients’ expectations and embody the values of Holding Redlich,” he said.

“Today’s promotions also reflect the success of our comprehensive career development programs and flexible working policies aimed at supporting the professional growth of female lawyers within our firm. This has been, and remains, a priority for us as we continue to ensure that our firm leads the way in relation to female representation at the senior lawyer and partnership levels.

“Congratulations to all our lawyers and to Sarah and Megan on joining the national partnership. I am extremely excited about the immediate contribution they will make as partners of the firm.”
