McCabes has promoted 15 lawyers, including three to principal, one to special counsel, two to senior associate, eight to associate, and one to HR coordinator.

The promotions are effective as of 1 July.

The newest principals at McCabes are Ashleigh Clancy, Steven Donley, and Matthew Renwick.

The firm’s new special counsel is Barnaby Austin, and Carlie Moses and Annika Schultz are its newest senior associates.

The firm’s new associates are Jordan Baird, William Wade, Jorji Murray, Luke McCann, Krishna Nand, Kathy Chen, Iris Law, and Maddison Cron.

And the firm’s new HR coordinator is Rebecca Neeson.

McCabes managing principal Andrew Lacey said the promotions “reflect growth and success within McCabes’ practice groups across the firm’s government, commercial, and insurance divisions”.

“These individuals have all demonstrated strong results and deserve recognition for exceeding expectations,” he said.

The news follows the firm’s launching of a new internship program for Indigenous law students and lawyers, as reported by Lawyers Weekly in February.
