Wotton + Kearney promotes 33, including 4 partners
International law firm Wotton + Kearney has promoted 33 across offices in the Asia-Pacific region, including four to the partnership.
Effective 1 July, four new partners, nine special counsel, 10 senior associates, and 10 associates have been elevated across Wotton + Kearney offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Christchurch, and Wellington.
This comes after Wotton + Kearney opened in Singapore, its 10th office, last week (20 June), as well as the addition of a health partner from BigLaw rival Lander & Rogers in October and a new special counsel and senior associate within the firm’s cyber and technology advisory practice in November.
As previously reported by Lawyers Weekly, the firm’s revenue grew by 71.6 per cent from FY2019–20 to FY2022–23. To achieve this growth, the firm focuses on specific areas where its clients demand services, chief executive partner David Kearney said on The Lawyers Weekly Show recently.
The firm’s newest partners are Morgan Campbell (general liability, Sydney), James Cooper (property, energy and infrastructure, Melbourne), Stuart Moore (general liability, Melbourne) and Marcus Saw (financial lines, Sydney).
Earlier this year, Maryan Lee, Cindy Lim and Gemma Burke were promoted to partner in Australia and James Dymock in New Zealand.
The firm’s newest special counsel are Jessica Chapman, Julian Amato, Samantha Saad, Meg Harrington, Jeanine Wong, Liana Isaac, Tushka Sridharan, Marnie Hasler and Matthew Booth.
In addition, Mia Dowie, Caitlin Barclay, Karim Ibrahim, Jessica La, Gemma Curcio, Antonia Fox Koob, Stacey Juras, Alex Percy, Rocco Domine and Renee Magee have been promoted to senior associate at the firm.
The following have also been promoted to associate: Anna Hurtig, Jonathon Gilmour, Liberty Wells, Alicia Maccarrone, Alisha Bala, Rosalie Colantuono, Emilia Feneziani, Christian Boustany, Anthony Huxtable, and Emma Campbell.
W+K also celebrated five promotions across its shared services teams.
