Within the Brisbane office, Tom Reaburn has been promoted to partner in employment relations and safety and specialises in work health and safety, employment relations and government-focused law. He acts for both private and public sector clients in relation to WHS law, rail safety law and heavy vehicle national law.

Jessica Bland has also been promoted to partner in Brisbane and practises in the litigation and dispute resolution team, primarily in commercial litigation. She acts on behalf of a wide range of clients, including private clients, commercial clients from various industries and state and local government clients.

Finally, Alan Wrigley has also been promoted to partner in the litigation and dispute resolution team in Brisbane, specialising in contractual disputes, commercial claims and regulatory matters and acting for a diverse range of clients.

Commenting on the newest additions to the partnership, McCullough Robertson chair of partners Kristan Conlon said the four new partners emulate the firm’s values.

“I am delighted to welcome Kara, Tom, Jessica and Alan to the partnership, as we continue to expand our Sydney offering and provide opportunities for growth to our talented, down-to-earth and approachable people,” she said.

“It has been fantastic to see all four learn and grow as their careers have evolved, and live our values of ‘down to earth’, ‘committed’, ‘commercial’ and ‘generous’ in all that they do. I am excited about the contribution they will make as partners and experts who relate to our clients, building deep relationships and supporting them always to navigate a world of constant change.”

In addition to the partner promotions, the following special counsel have also been promoted: David Wilton (litigation and dispute resolution), Halie Beaumont (estates), Lynn Teo (real estate), Nicola McMahon (employment relations and safety), and Paige Edwards (estates).

Cameron Findsen, Catherine Collins, and Charlotte Aumuller have also all been promoted to senior associate at the firm.

“These appointments are evidence of our strong pipeline of talent, future partners and leaders of the firm,” Conlon said.

“They bring fresh ideas and diverse perspectives and have demonstrated their commitment to our clients’ success and their ability to deliver quality solutions. I am excited to see their careers develop.”
