National law firm Moray & Agnew has added a new partner to its corporate and commercial team, who has come across from BigLaw rival Mills Oakley.
John Wei (pictured) has joined Morays, with the firm saying he is set to play an “important role” in its corporate and commercial practice.
He specalises, Morays said in a statement, in advising international clients on inbound investment particularly in relation to renewable energy, mining, real estate, and manufacturing and has advised on transaction structuring, private M&A, joint venture (both incorporated and unincorporated), commercial contracts, and corporate governance.
The news follows the firm’s promotion of two lawyers to partner, and two to senior associate, back in December.
Speaking about the hire, Morays Melbourne managing partner Bill Papastergiadis said: “We are delighted to announce the addition of John Wei to our corporate and commercial team.
“With an impressive track record and extensive experience in renewable energy, mining and manufacturing, John brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to our firm.
“As a leading firm dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services to our clients, we are confident that John will play a significant role in further enhancing our capabilities and serving our clients with excellence.”
