G+T adds 4 to partnership, promotes 6 to special counsel
National law firm Gilbert + Tobin has bolstered its senior ranks ahead of the new financial year, elevating four lawyers to partner and half a dozen to special counsel, effective 1 July.
G+T has named new partners and special counsel ahead of FY2024–25, with 10 lawyers being elevated across its Sydney and Melbourne offices and in its corporate advisory, disputes and investigations, and G+T Ventures groups.
These appointments bring the firm’s partnership ranks to 110.
G+T’s new special counsel are Kerry-Lee Carew, Michael Spurritt, Elizabeth Lathlean, Keara Stretton, Bridget Sutton, and Kasia Dziadosz-Findlay.
The promotions are effective as of 1 July.
The news follows the firm’s integration of a boutique banking and finance practice into its Perth operations in February, the appointment of UniSuper’s GC as a new partner in the same month, the nabbing of a partner from Pinsent Masons in late December, and in the same month, the arrival of a partner and her team from Clayton Utz.
Speaking about the promotions, G+T executive partner Tim Gordon said: “Congratulations to these outstanding individuals on their well-deserved promotions.
“We are delighted to welcome Olivia, Alexandra, Wes and Xavier into the G+T partnership, each have made an enormous contribution to G+T and bring exceptional experience and expertise to areas of key focus for our clients.
“We also celebrate the elevation of the six talented special counsel in recognition of the wonderful contribution they make to our firm and our clients.”
