Keypoint Law expands into Perth
Emerging BigLaw firm Keypoint Law, which operates a consultancy model and is celebrating its 10-year anniversary Down Under, has launched in the west with a consulting principal hire, meaning it now has a presence in six major Australian cities.
Tamra Seaton (pictured) has joined Keypoint Law as a commercial and franchise consulting principal in Perth, meaning the emerging BigLaw practice now has a presence out west.
She is, Keypoint said in a statement, a “respected leader” in the franchise law community, whose expertise extends to competition and consumer law, intellectual property law, commercial property law, as well as other general commercial law areas.
Seaton has also served as state president and director of the Franchise Council of Australia and is currently a state representative for Western Australia on the national Woman in Franchising committee.
The unveiling of a presence in Perth with Seaton’s hire follows a year of significant growth for Keypoint in 2023 – which saw more than a dozen partner-level recruits join the consultancy model practice – as well as its recent appointments of an IP consulting principal in Melbourne in mid-March, a corporate and M&A consulting principal in Sydney in late January, and a property law consulting principal in early January.
Keypoint’s entry into the West Australian market also comes as the consultancy model practice celebrates its 10-year anniversary in Australia in 2024. It now has more than 75 partner-level lawyers across the country, practising in 25 areas of law, the firm noted in a statement.
Speaking about the hire, Keypoint chief executive Warren Kalinko (also pictured) said: “We are very excited to have Tamra on board.
“Tamra is highly regarded in her field, and her knowledge and experience will be of immense value to our firm and clients.”
As of this latest hire, Keypoint now has operations in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.
