Former lawyer charged after cocaine found in frozen chickens
A former criminal lawyer was allegedly caught up in a plot to transport cocaine inside a truck loaded with frozen chickens.
High-profile criminal lawyer Michael Bosscher was reportedly charged by the Australian Federal Police for allegedly trafficking 120 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a van carrying frozen chickens.
Media reported the matter was adjourned to mid-May on Bosscher’s lawyer’s request so it could be joined with other related matters.
Bosscher was remanded into custody until then.
The criminal lawyer is reportedly facing a separate charge for his alleged involvement in a money laundering syndicate.
Bosscher was charged in October 2022 with conspiring to deal in the proceeds of crime.
Police arrested him and another man for allegedly laundering $4.5 million after they discovered $70,000 in cash in a Bardon location and a further $160,000 in cash from a safe in Helensvale.
That matter also remains before the court.
According to the Bosscher Lawyer’s Facebook page, Bosscher has appeared in criminal matters across Australia and overseas.
More to come.
