Xakia launches new first-of-its-kind legal analytics tool
Legal management software company Xakia has released a landmark legal tool to provide actionable insights and allow seamless management of workload distribution.
Xakia’s new In-House Legal Capacity Dashboard is a simple, action-focused dashboard for legal departments and is driven by highly advanced algorithms and intuitive designs.
This comes after the release of Xakia’s self-serve contract management tool in March and the launch of another new tool to help legal teams overhaul external spend tracking in February this year.
By distilling the complexity and nuance of workloads into a simple dashboard, the latest tool provides real-time visibility into workload distribution and resource availability. This helps legal teams to optimise their operations, enhance team-wide productivity, and deliver results with real data.
Xakia North America chief executive Anne Post said that legal teams of varying sizes could benefit from using the dashboard.
“Helping legal teams of two to 20 find the hidden nuggets of capacity in their team is now both affordable and immediately available – right out of the box,” Post said.
Within the tool, a graded traffic light system provides an overall summary of each lawyer’s capacity, and users can see both total workload and workload within defined time frames via volume metrics and indicators.
The tool also shows varying deadlines and legal requests, which are displayed alongside the capacity to facilitate appropriate work assignments within the capacity context.
Scott Maier, associate general counsel at Penn National Insurance, which has a legal team of five, said these features have been especially helpful.
“The Capacity Dashboard provides us with immediate visibility over workloads amongst team members,” he said.
“The visualisation of workloads is very insightful for managers and team members when assigning tasks and matters. We can assign work based on the capacity of team members instantly.”
