HWL Ebsworth promotes 64, including 8 to partner
Australia’s biggest legal partnership has gotten bigger, with eight lawyers across five of the firm’s offices being elevated to partner, while 56 other lawyers have been promoted to more senior roles.
National law firm HWL Ebsworth has promoted 64 lawyers, including eight to partner, 13 to special counsel, 19 to senior associate and 24 to associate.
HWL’s newest partners are Katrina Brown (property, Brisbane), Fiona David (property, Sydney), Matthew Graham (construction and infrastructure (Sydney), Kevin Lock (construction and infrastructure, Melbourne), Guy Moloney (corporate and commercial, Sydney), Jessica Nicholls (workplace relations and safety, Adelaide), Patrick Rodgers (Commonwealth government, Sydney), and Alison Spivey (Commonwealth government, Canberra).
The firm has not released the names of the 56 professionals promoted to roles below partner level.
Speaking about the firm’s latest promotion round, HWL managing partner Juan Martinez (pictured) said: “Each of these team members [has] excelled in recent years.
“Through their actions, they have shown that they are ready to take this next step in their career journey, and I am confident that they will meet and excel in these new challenges, with energy and a keen aspiration to achieve.”
The firm currently comprises, it noted in a statement, nearly 1,650 staff, including 277 partners, across its nine offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Melbourne, Hobart, Norwest (north-west Sydney), Perth and Sydney.
