Allens adds partner to IP team
Allens has appointed a new partner to its intellectual property, patent and trademark attorneys practice.
More than 20 years after starting her career at Allens, Natasha Burns has rejoined the firm as its latest intellectual property (IP) partner.
“It’s great to be back,” Ms Burns said.
Ms Burns has moved over from her own practice, Burns IP.
Prior to Burns IP, Ms Burns was a partner at New York firm Abelman Frayne & Schwab. She is a qualified lawyer and registered trademark attorney in both Australia and the United States.
Ms Burns has represented major corporations in sports, food and beverage, big data, oil and energy, automotive and healthcare.
IP practice group leader Miriam Stiel said she was “thrilled” to welcome Ms Burns back to Allens.
“She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in both large and boutique firms across Australia and the US,” Ms Stiel said.
Head of Allens’ patent and trademark attorneys, Linda Govenlock, added it is an “exciting time” for the team “and the appointment of Natasha as a [trademark] partner is an important step in our ongoing growth strategy”.
