Sam Harvey (pictured) has joined Colin Biggers & Paisley, an appointment that the BigLaw firm said “reaffirms the practice’s commitment to the expansion of the Brisbane insurance team to provide deep capability and deliver solution-driven outcomes for clients”.

He brings, the firm said in a statement, “extensive experience” in insurance law, specialising in professional indemnity, general liability insurance, insurance and reinsurance, property insurance and construction disputes.

Mr Harvey comes over from McCabes. He has also worked at Kennedys, Rose Litigation Lawyers, and Lander & Rogers.

The appointment is the latest in a string of hires for the firm’s insurance practice, reported by Lawyers Weekly here, here, here, and here. It also follows the firm’s elevation of 13 lawyers to more senior roles in June.

Speaking about the appointment, the firm’s joint insurance practice leader Gavin Creighton said: “We are thrilled to welcome Sam to our Brisbane insurance team.

“His wealth of experience and dedication to excellence aligns seamlessly with our commitment to providing clear and outcome-focused solutions.

“Sam’s expertise in insurance strengthens our capabilities, and we look forward to the valuable contributions he will make to our practice.”
