Following a year of significant growth, HopgoodGanim Lawyers – which has offices in Brisbane and Perth – has appointed a new head of risk and compliance, who will play a “pivotal role” in fortifying the firm’s risk mitigation strategies.
Dan Woods (pictured) has joined HopgoodGanim Lawyers, bringing a decade of experience as a senior governance, risk and compliance leader, having worked in government, listed entities and not-for-profit organisations.
In his new role, Mr Woods will be responsible for strengthening the firm’s existing risk and compliance practices and providing compliance oversight, due diligence, ethical guidance, and direction in its strategy.
The news follows a year of significant growth for HopgoodGanim.
In October, it appointed a new head of cyber security; in late June, it promoted 25 lawyers to more senior roles, including four to partner; in early June, it appointed a new patents director; and in March, it named a new chief operating officer and a chief risk officer.
Speaking about the appointment, firm managing partner Luke Mountford said: “Dan’s diverse experience across compliance and risk management is an asset to HopgoodGanim Lawyers, and I look forward to working with Dan as the firm continues on its current growth trajectory.”
