Superannuation fund legalsuper has appointed its inaugural chief financial officer.
Michael Gogorosis has been appointed to the newly created position of chief financial officer for legalsuper.
Mr Gogorosis is a certified practising accountant (CPA) and has a bachelor of business with a major in accounting from RMIT University, legalsuper noted in a statement.
He brings, Mr Symons said, “a combination of outstanding professional competencies, personal values, and academic qualifications all aligned with legalsuper’s current growth and innovation agenda” to the new role.
“Michael has direct superannuation fund experience combined with broader financial services and asset management experience gained both in Melbourne and London,” he continued.
“Most recently, he was deputy CFO with Vision Super and prior to that was financial controller at Equip Super where he managed the $5 billion merger with Rio Tinto Super.”
“In creating this new chief financial officer role within legalsuper’s executive team, we aim to further drive excellence in strategic operations across our business with a strong focus on our financial decision making and management to support our growth agenda, as well as complementing our demonstrable strengths in members services, investment strategy and performance, delivered through our high-performing team culture,” Mr Symons outlined.
