Catherine Bell (pictured) has joined Keypoint as a consulting principal, bringing more than 25 years of experience in construction and infrastructure law, advising on construction projects, and acting in and resolving construction disputes.

She also has, the firm said in a statement, “significant experience” in security of payment disputes and advising various industry participants (including insolvency practitioners) on strategic use of rights for recovering outstanding payments under construction contracts.

The news follows the firm’s appointment of a consulting principal from HWL Ebsworth last month and the hiring of another from Case Law in early July.

Ms Bell comes across from KHQ Lawyers. Prior to this, she was a partner at Colin Biggers & Paisley and at Cornwall Stodart (now Cornwalls).

Speaking about the appointment, Keypoint chief executive Warren Kalinko said: “Catherine joins Keypoint with a fantastic reputation in the area of construction law, particularly in disputes.

“She is a wonderful addition to our team, including our litigation team of 20+, and we are thrilled to have her expertise available to our clients.”

Ms Bell added: “I am thrilled to join Keypoint Law, with the great diversity and depth of expertise amongst its practitioners, including those allied to construction law.”
