Colin Biggers & Paisley nabs 2 senior associates from IRIQ Law
BigLaw firm Colin Biggers & Paisley has appointed two senior associates from industrial relations firm IRIQ Law for its employment and safety team.
Richard Diqer and Tyrone Prisk (both pictured) have joined Colin Biggers & Paisley’s employment and safety team, which the firm said will strengthen that team’s capabilities and reflect the practice’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of clients across its industries of focus.
The pair will be based in the firm’s Brisbane office.
The news follows the firm’s promotion of one to partner and 12 to senior associate in late June, its hiring of a senior associate from Carter Newell in early June, its naming of a new chief financial officer in late April, its promotion of two to partner and one to special counsel in early April, and addition of a partner from Macpherson Kelley in mid-March.
Speaking about his new role, Mr Diqer said: “I am delighted to be part of Colin Biggers & Paisley’s employment and safety team, and I am looking forward to working with Megan and the broader team to strengthen our offering to our clients.”
Mr Prisk added: “I am excited to join the employment and safety team at Colin Biggers & Paisley. I look forward to collaborating with the team and utilising my expertise in employment, industrial relations and local government and contributing to the continued success of the practice.”
Colin Biggers & Paisley employment and safety partner Megan Kavanagh noted: “Richard and Tyrone’s experience, skills and understanding of employment and safety matters will strengthen our ability to help employers manage front-end risk and provide back-end disputes support.”
“The depth of experience Richard and Tyrone bring in our key industries of focus, including government, faith-based enterprise, education and aged care, is an advantage for the practice.”
