DCC Promotions

DCC welcomes Sally Davis as a new Principal.

Dr Sally Davis (Melbourne) is a registered Patent Attorney. She specialises in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the areas of molecular biology, cell biology, CRISPR, medicinal cannabis, psychedelic medicine, immunotherapy and diagnostics. Sally assists local clients in developing patent strategies that align with their research and commercial objectives, maximizing the value of their patent portfolios in global and domestic markets.

DCC also announces the elevation of six practitioners to Associate Principal;

Dr Dario Buso (Melbourne) is a registered Patent Attorney, specialising in Materials Science and Chemical Engineering. He assists clients in maximizing intellectual property protection across a range of technical areas.

Dr Claire Gregg (Melbourne) is a registered Patent Attorney, specialising in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields. She provides advice in relation to patent strategy, validity and infringement, and assists in patent litigation.

Jillian Lim (New Zealand) is a registered Patent Attorney, specialising in Biomedical Engineering. She advises clients on various facets of IP including patentability of inventions, commercialisation strategies, infringement and validity.

Nicholas Butera (Melbourne) is a registered Trade Marks Attorney, specialising in the protection and enforcement of trade mark related rights such as geographical indications. Nicholas has authored articles published in the World Trademark Review and the World Trademark Review Daily.

Scott Sonneman (New Zealand) is a registered Patent Attorney, specialising in engineering and ICT related inventions. He works with local and international clients to identify and implement protection and enforcement strategies that are aligned with their commercial objectives.

Dr Simone Vink (Brisbane) is a registered Patent Attorney, specialising in pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry, agrochemistry, biotechnology and biochemistry. She provides advice on patent strategy and portfolio management, in addition to patent validity and infringement.

Additionally DCC announces the elevation of Dr Althea Tsang (Sydney), Benita Lau (Singapore), Geoff Buzacott (Sydney), Dr Jie An Yang (Singapore) to Senior Associate; and of Isabelle Guzman (Melbourne) and Jessica Murphy (Melbourne) to Associate.

DCCL is also pleased to announce that Grace O'Connor (Melbourne) has been elevated to the position of Managing Associate. Grace practices predominantly in intellectual property litigation. She also advises on issues of trade mark, copyright and design infringement, and has assisted in running complex intellectual property litigation in the Federal Court of Australia for both Australian and international clients across a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, diagnostic technology, and mining and resources.

DCCL is also pleased to announce the elevation of Emily Maartensz (Melbourne), and Lachlan Sadler (Melbourne) to the position of Senior Associate.
