Jennifer Windsor (pictured) has joined McCabes in its Sydney office, having come over from global firm Norton Rose Fulbright, where she was a senior associate.

The news follows the firm’s appointment of a principal for its private clients group in May, the taking of a team from BigLaw rival HWL Ebsworth in late March, the addition of four insurance principals (as reported by Lawyers Weekly in early March), and a new corporate principal in February.

McCabes also promoted nine professionals to more senior roles in late December of last year.

Ms Windsor “has a proven track record of success” in advising government agencies on a wide range of matters, including procurement, contracts, and litigation, the firm said in a statement and noted that she is a “highly skilled negotiator and mediator, bringing a deep understanding of the complex legal landscape surrounding government affairs”.

She has also served as chair of the Law Council’s Young Lawyers Committee, president of the NSW Young Lawyers, and was a senior lawyer for both Clayton Utz and the NSW Police Force.

At McCabes, Ms Windsor will collaborate closely with the government division to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients navigating the intricacies of the public sector.

Her experience and skills, the firm said, “make her a perfect fit” for leading the general lines practice group.

McCabes managing principal Andrew Lacey said: “We’re very glad to welcome Jennifer to McCabes.”

“She is a highly experienced and respected practitioner with a history of high performance in government law. Her addition to our team further strengthens our capabilities to provide our clients with the best possible legal advice and representation,” he added.

“The recruitment focus at McCabes this year has been firmly centred on adding experienced leaders to key positions to drive growth and achieve our most outstanding results yet.”

“Her addition strengthens the firm’s capabilities to provide our clients with a deep level of partnership and representation.”
