Thomson Geer promotes 3 partners
National law firm Thomson Geer has promoted three to partner, bringing its partnership across the country to over 140.
Thomson Geer, which has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra, has elevated three new partners: Nikolas Miljkovic, Jeremy Thom and Lauren Townsend.
Mr Thom is based in Perth and specialises in major projects, especially in the power, oil and gas and transport sectors. Prior to joining Thomson Geer, he was general counsel of a gas company and was head of legal for energy sourcing and customer supply at the largest electricity company in Europe.
Based in Melbourne, Ms Townsend specialises in employment, industrial relations, workplace investigations, discrimination, and work health and safety.
Thomson Geer chief executive partner Adrian Tembel said that the new partners are high-quality lawyers who displayed excellent legal qualities and skills.
“They have all made significant contributions to their respective practice areas, are sought out by clients for their advice and expertise, and play a positive role contributing to the firm’s culture,” he said.
“I congratulate each of them on their achievement and look forward to their ongoing success.”
This news follows recent promotions rounds at fellow BigLaw firms, including the elevation of 18 at Johnson Winter Slattery, 35 promotions at Lander & Rogers and seven to partner at Moray & Agnew late last month, as well as three new partners at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, also in late May.
