BigLaw firm Johnson Winter Slattery has revealed 18 staff promotions: four special counsel and 14 senior associates.

The firm confirmed to Lawyers Weekly that partner promotions would be unveiled later this month.

The newest special counsel at the firm are Naomi Cooper, Edwin Fah, Sara Gaertner and Amy Millar.

Additionally, Aidan Allen, Mei Gong, Rosie Short, Varshini Rajendran, Emily Fischer, Kieran Goodall, Jasmine Tang, Candy Cheung, Haerim Nam, Jessica Day, Caitlin McTaggart, Geoffrey Sykes, Gerald Manning and Lachlan Smithers have been promoted to senior associate.

This news follows the appointment of internationally recognised corporate lawyer and academic Professor Pamela Hanrahan as a consultant for the firm, which came after JWS poached special counsel Eleanor Kwak from Corrs Chambers Westgarth in March.

It also follows recent promotions rounds at fellow BigLaw firms, including 35 promotions at Lander & Rogers last Friday, and seven to partner at Moray & Agnew late last month, as well as three new partners at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, also in late May.
