Keypoint adds 4th consulting principal in 2 months
Emerging BigLaw firm Keypoint Law has hit 20 consulting principals in its litigation team, with the appointment of a new commercial litigation professional in Sydney.
Stephen D’Emilio (pictured) has joined Keypoint as a consulting principal in Sydney, bringing with him more than a quarter century of experience in complex and broad-ranging corporate and commercial litigation and dispute resolution, as well as in contract law, consumer law claims, property, partnership and shareholder disputes, estate litigation, insurance, corporations law claims and insolvency-related disputes.
Mr D’Emilio has previously served as a partner at Matthews Folbigg and Holding Redlich, was a consultant for Macpherson Kelley, and was most recently the director of his own practice.
The news follows the appointment of three other consulting principals in the last two months: “succession nerd” Michele Davis in early March, film, television and digital games expert Kate Hynes in late February, and senior insurance litigation lawyer Colin Hall in mid-February.
Speaking about the appointment, Keypoint chief executive Warren Kalinko said: “Stephen brings a solid background in complex commercial litigation to the firm.
“His skill and experience in the area of litigation is well recognised by his industry colleagues, and we are extremely pleased to have him join our firm.”
Mr D’Emilio added: “I am extremely excited about the opportunity to join such an impressive team of industry-recognised, leading lawyers.
“I will now be able to utilise the wealth of experience that Keypoint’s lawyers possess, to better service my clients.”
