Thomson Geer appoints partner from Allens
National law firm Thomson Geer has moved to strengthen its national banking and finance team with the hiring of a partner from global law firm Allens for its Perth office.
Nicholas Creed has joined the Perth office of Thomson Geer following his time as a partner at Allens since 2016. Prior to this, he served at King & Wood Mallesons for 14 years.
His practice, the firm said, covers all aspects of banking and financial services, across industries and borders, acting for lenders and borrowers, and he “has deep expertise” in the resources and real estate sectors and is often ranked highly in legal industry directories.
Speaking about the appointment, Thomson Geer chief executive partner Adrian Tembel said: “We’re excited to have Nick joining us and growing our capacity in Western Australia in this critical area of law.
“With Nick on the ground, our Perth office will be able to provide our clients with the full suite of corporate legal services — from their early start-up stages to full maturity.”
Mr Creed added that he is pleased to join Thomson Geer and its “distinguished banking team”.
“I’m looking forward to becoming part of the Thomson Geer pedigree and working with the team to continue its growth,” he said.
